The CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) is the NHA's credential for technicians who collect blood specimens for laboratory testing. The content outline is organized around safety; patient preparation and professional responsibility; routine collections; special collections; and processing, quality, and regulatory topics. The exam includes 100 scored questions plus 20 pretest items and is allowed 2 hours 10 minutes.
