The CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) is the NHA's credential for technicians who collect blood specimens for laboratory testing. The exam tests safety and compliance, patient preparation, routine venipuncture, capillary collection, special collections, processing, and quality assurance. It includes 100 scored questions plus 20 pretest items and is allowed 2 hours 10 minutes.
