The CMA (AAMA) is the American Association of Medical Assistants' Certified Medical Assistant credential. To sit for the exam you must complete or be near completion of a medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES. The exam is 200 multiple-choice questions across three content areas - General, Administrative, and Clinical - and runs 4 hours of testing time.
